For the first edition of Ciné Baltique – the Baltic Film Festival in Paris, we curated Bar Romantika at the iconic Cinéma Arlequin. Inspired by Soviet era bars and lounges in Lithuania, Bar Romantika is a cross between a jazz bar and a theatre café—a place where you stay for the entertainment and a snack, and might find yourself in conversation with a stranger. The space offered a warm, informal setting for guests to pause between screenings. Alongside films from Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian directors, visitors could enjoy food and drink classics— potato salad, pickle brine martini, deviled eggs, sea buckthorn cocktail or a simply a whole homemade pickle—accompanied by live piano music. The project aimed to create a moment of calm, connection, and cultural exchange within the cinema experience.

Following its debut at Ciné Baltique, Bar Romantika continues as an evolving, ephemeral concept—bringing its blend of food, music,  design and culture to new spaces.
